We All Have the Power to Help Stop Crime

Know Your Neighbors

Neighbors who are an integrated part of the community look out for each other.

NEIGHBORS ARE OUR ALLIES

Introduce yourself to your neighbors next time you see them, host a block party, or, even better, become an active member of one of our local Short North community groups!

Keep Your Eyes Open

Being aware of potentially unsafe situations can help prevent crime.

BE AWARE OF WHAT IS HAPPENING AROUND YOU

Watch for suspicious behavior, avoid potentially risky situations, and maintain properties to make it harder for criminals to act.

Report Suspicious Behavior

Reporting suspicious behavior to neighbors and the police makes criminals less likely to strike.

CALL THE POLICE IF YOU SEE SOMETHING

Call 911 in case of emergency. Call 311 or the police non-emergency line (614.645.4545) to report suspicious behavior, graffiti, illegally parked cars, noise complaints, etc.
